Hi, we're Bob and Cathi, and we love to explore.
We've both worked in traditional fields most of our lives. When we reached our 50s, those years when you know who you are and what you want, we decided to disconnect from tradition living, and take off for places and experiences unknown.
We get a little antsy if we sit still for too long - there's endless list of places to see and things we want to try. This life may not be for everyone, it works wonderfully for us. We love the mountains and deserts, the lakes and babbling brooks, the sun and the earth, and everything in between. Snow flakes on the tips of our noses, and sand from a cool stream between our toes.
Much to see and do and so little time. Our site allows us to babble about things we've done together, and reminds us how blessed we are to have this freedom. It's also is a blank canvas where we can plot out our next course.
our experiences to inspire you to break out of the safety net you call your life, and try something different. Turtle soup? Alligator steaks? Kanga Bangas (well, not yet, right now they're still in the freezer). We've tried those things and more. You can too. But these things don't come to you. You need to go out and find them.
We started out chasing rainbows more than 15 years ago. Along the way, we encountered gold nuggets, shooting stars, and just plain old warm fuzzy feelings. And we encountered God.
Try it - you may like it.

Karaoke Band
Our Karaoke Band, Flashback, is a wonderful way for us to connect with each other musically.
Flashback delivers a trip down memory lane, where we perform songs from the 50s, 60s, and 70s at various venues as we travel. When we began hiring ourselves out to entertain with our Karaoke, our signature song was "I got You Babe" by Sonny and Cher. We started with a list of a couple of dozen songs and our collection has grown now to over 10 thousand songs. This October we will perform a 2-hour show for an audience of over 200 guests at their annual Halloween Party and Parade at Palm Gardens, Mesa, AZ.

Climbing to the top of the Mayan Ruins
Yup, we did it. We climbed to the top. Coming down was scary; no hand rails. A cruise to the Western Carribean in 2009 is where we had our first glimpse of the Mayan ruins in Belize. Wow, magnificent palaces and temples. On a shore excursion, we learned about this vanishing tribe, got a close-up look of a typical town of Mayans, and got to climb to the top of one of these awesome temples.
We are booked to take a Panama Canal cruise in Sept/Oct 2010, and at that time, while in Honduras and Guatemala, we will get to see and learn even more about the Mayans.

Lands End in Cabo hold special memories for us.
Land's End in Cabo - said to be one of the most incredible rock formations in the world, is the southern-most point of Baja where the pacific ocean and the Sea of Cortez meet. Rigid sandstone craffs arch over the tiny peninsula off the shore of Mendano beach, Mexico, where you can spot the arch jutting through the ocean's surface like a tall castle.
These rock formations, some of the most unique in the world, have been featured in hundreds of movies. The first time we cruised to Mexico, and I saw Land's End, I was speechless. We have returned several times to gae upon this amazing creation of the Master Artist.

Flying to Egypt and back in one night
This may sound impossible - but not if you're flying on the flight simulator. More about that later.
How many coke cans does it take to. . .
Me and my girlies decided to cover a section of our patio trellis with coke can art. We spent a couple of afternoons cutting the cans into flower petal and leaf shapes. Then we assembled and painted them brightly. A button center attached with twist ties enabled us to place them here and there on the trellis.
I can see them from my kitchen window when I am doing the dishes. The sight of them always warms my heart. When I moved to Pahrump, I brought them with me, and now they grace my outside patio area and remind me of those grand times spent with the girlies when they were just little ones.
